BMEN 2730: Biomedial Electronics with Lab
Rectifiers, filters, regulators and power supplies. Analog amplifiers and active filters of interest for medical devices. Combinational and sequential digital logic design techniques and circuits. Brief overview of modulation, encoding, and interfacing. Electrical safety. Extensive weekly lab projects.
BMEN 6840: Medical Imaging Physics
This course introduces imaging methods in medicine, including radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine (PET and SPECT), and ultrasound imaging. The basic physical principles of each imaging modality are introducted, including the imaging energy source, properties and interaction with tissue. Basic concepts of image reconstruction will be discussed.
